inLIFE Wellness
inLIFE Wellness is a boutique Reformer Pilates and fusion fitness franchise built to be cheaper to open and easier to run than the rest of the category. It wins the 84% of new members who've never done Reformer before, a customer other studios don't chase. Investment runs about $180K below the category average. Most owners run it as a Managing Owner, working roughly 20 hours a week max with a Studio Manager in place, a model already proven across the system.
The Australian parent has run four years with 32 franchises and 55+ studios open, zero terminations or non-renewals. The U.S. entity began franchising in January 2025: 9 studios open in Dallas today, 8 more in development toward 17 in year one, and every U.S. franchisee has gone multi-unit or is in process.
Founder Scott Capelin built the model backwards after losing $4 million on an over-built studio of his own, stripping out whatever kills operator profitability. What's left: four revenue streams (Pilates, fusion classes, retail, instructor certification) inside a smaller investment than the $500K buildouts and percentage royalties that define the category.
